Illustration

Over the past few years, I have had my art grace the covers and interiors of books and periodicals. These are examples of that illustration work.

In fall of 2004 I provided both the colour cover and black and white interior illustrations for a book-CD compilation of folk tales entitled You Don't Know Jack, told by local storytellers John David Hickey and Dylan Spevack-Willcock, published in January 2005 by Topeda Hill Publications. The finished artwork was 6 x 6 inches, done in pencil on acid-free paper, inked with black pen, and coloured with Prismacolour pencils; the interior art was done with pencil on acid-free paper, then inked with a black pen. Copies of You Don't Know Jack are available through Word of Mouth Productions, as well as at bookstores across Montreal and Quebec City.

Third in the Montreal's Magical Circle series of cover illustrations, Samhain Shadow picture is approximately 8 x 10, and was done in pencil on acid-free paper. The color medium used was Prismacolor pencils, and the borders were done in black ink.

First in this series, Totem Circle is approximately 8 x 10, and was done in pencil on acid-free paper. The color medium used was Prismacolor pencils, and the borders were done in black ink.

Second in the series, The Herbalist is approximately 8 x 10, and was done in pencil on acid-free paper. The color medium used was Prismacolor pencils, and the borders were done in black ink.

I was asked to provide a chapter illustration for Oberon Zell-Ravenheart's Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard, published in February 2004 by New Page Books. The finished artwork was 8 x 10 inches, done in pencil on acid-free paper and inked with black pen. The original now resides with Zell-Ravenheart himself in California, but you can see the image on page 205 of the book, found in the New Age section of excellent bookshops everywhere.
